While growing up in California, Cara was addicted to Samantha Brown’s Passport to Europe on the Travel Channel. She dreamed of a career in travel (or having her own TV show!) after falling in love with travel during her first trip to Europe at 10 years old. Cara lived in Paris from 2013-2018 and now lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

After graduating from UC Davis with a B.A. in Communications, Cara moved to Paris where she received her M.A. in Paris Studies: History and Culture from the University of London Institute in Paris. Her favorite travel memories include seeing the cherry blossoms in Japan, hiking the Inca Trail to arrive at Machu Picchu at sunrise, visiting bookshops in London, experiencing Italy during a two-week road trip, visiting the mansions in Newport, Rhode Island, scuba diving in Thailand, seeing the Moai on Easter Island, wandering the streets of Lisbon, and visiting the châteaux in the Loire Valley.
