Even though it is an island, Bermuda is actually quite different in seasonality and location than the rest of the Caribbean. It is located about 640 miles off the coast of North Carolina in the Atlantic Ocean. Because of this, Bermuda is a semi-tropical destination and is really only warm from May-September. Its climate is much more similar to that of the Southeast United States than to that of the much warmer Caribbean islands.
There are several amazing shopping areas in Bermuda, rich with history and charm. One of our favorites is the Royal Naval Dockyard, which has been restored to its historic significance and now houses many shops and eateries. However, check with your Brownell advisor to see if the big cruise ships will be in port during your visit, as the masses descend on the Royal Naval Dockyard, and it can lose its charm. St. George’s is another quant shopping area, not far from the airport. Allow for more than a quick trip, as there is a lot to do and see! A stop at the Bermuda Perfumery (established in 1928) is a must.
