Is Colombia safe to visit?

Many people are under the impression that Colombia is not safe, but it is actually a very safe and stable country after a new political regime came into power in 2006. They implemented new security policies and worked hard to clean up the problems that plagued the country and gave it a bad reputation.

What is there to do in Colombia?

Colombia is a diverse country ranging from stunning beaches to lush rain forests. You can enjoy a relaxing beach getaway on the San Andres beaches or if adventure is more your style, explore the jungle of Santa Marta. Bogota is Colombia’s largest city and boasts a historical district teeming with culture and museums. (and remember—Bogota tends to be a bit cooler than the rest of the country because of its high elevation so pack accordingly!)

Is Colombia easy to get to?

Colombia is surprisingly a very easy destination to get to from the U.S. In fact, it is even in the Central Time Zone from March-November, which means no jet lag! (From November to March, they operate under Eastern Time). Colombia is only a 2.5-3 hour flight from Miami.
